ABOUT

Hi there! I'm Serene. Welcome to my little corner.

I started blogging here nine years ago when I first began living and working overseas as a way to connect with family and friends scattered all over the globe. Over the years, this corner has become my own little ‘home’ where I've been able to touch base with old friends and make new ones.

I've called a number of places 'home', from growing up in Malaysia, to studying my university degree in Australia, then working in Singapore. I've grown to love each place I've lived in and left pieces of my heart in every single one of those places.

Now 'home' is Perth, Western Australia, where I live with hubby, and my two little wilds, my exuberant boy--Nathan, and my delicious little girl --Grace. These humans have all turned my life around 180 degrees at all angles, expanded me, humbled me, deepened me, and now I cannot imagine my life without them.

The name of my blog Living Serenely serves as a little reminder to be try to live up to my name… to be “Serene” and to “Live Serenely” in all aspects of my life --marriage, motherhood, parenting, family, friendships, faith, work and everything else in between.

I hope you enjoy stopping by 'my place', taking a peek into my window, maybe saying hello and perhaps even sharing a friendly chat or two.

Here are some posts you can start with to find out more about me:

I also run my own family day care which was an incredible leap of faith for me to venture into but deeply passionate about now. I regularly share snippets of some of the activities we get up to which you are welcome to check out each month.

I love connecting with readers and fellow bloggers and still get a huge kick from every comment and email I receive. If you'd like to say hello or find out more about working with me or blogging together, drop me an email at serenely@outlook.com or find me on...

And so Nathan’s very first day of kindergarten is over. It was a mixture of good, bad, sweet and sour. I think that so much happens throughout the day, it can be challenging for a little person to filter through it all.
