Missing the lion dancers...

Chinese New Year is just around the corner. Feeling a teeny weeny bit nostalgic because I know I'll be missing the whole CNY ching-chong-chang festivities back in KK. I will miss the pineapple tarts I will miss the cheesy dong-dong-chiang music I will miss the numerous lou sang sessions I will miss the leftover nien gao fried in egg for breakfast I will miss gorging on mandarin oranges and bak kwa I will miss the endless nibling of kuaci and nuts I will miss drinking yeos packet drinks But most of all... I will miss those monkey-like antics of those colourful lion dancers! Here's Douglas Lim's stand-up comedy rendition of these legendary lion dances (preceded by an also funny routine on Timberlake's Sexi Back)

These days my days are packed full to the brim. From the moment I wake up to the sound of Grace calling through the baby monitor and Nathan’s cheeky face peering at me over the edge of the bed… to the evening when I finally tuck them into bed and say goodnight.
